How are splits calculated?+
When you add a subscription, you choose who's in on it and how to split the cost — evenly, by percentage, or by a fixed amount per person. SubSplit recalculates each member's share automatically whenever the subscription's price changes.
What happens if someone doesn't pay their share?+
SubSplit sends automatic reminders to anyone with an outstanding balance. Payments made in-app are tracked in the group's ledger, so it's always clear who's settled up and who still owes.
Is my payment info safe?+
Yes. All in-app payments are processed by Stripe — SubSplit never stores your card details. A small 2.5% processing fee applies to payments made through the app; you'll always see the total before confirming.
Can I export my data?+
Yes. Every group has a full ledger of renewals, price changes, and settlements that you can export as a CSV at any time.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?+
Free covers manual subscription tracking, automatic split calculations, and unlimited groups. Pro ($4.99/month) adds automatic payment collection, payment reminders, spending insights, and price-hike alerts.
How many groups can I create?+
Both the Free and Pro plans support unlimited groups — split rent-and-streaming with your roommates in one group and family subscriptions in another.
What is unused subscription detection?+
SubSplit flags subscriptions your group hasn't used in a while (based on how members vote to keep or cancel each one) so you can catch recurring charges nobody actually wants anymore.
How do I cancel or downgrade Pro?+
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page in-app — there's no lock-in contract.
