What we collect
Account details you provide (name, email), the subscriptions and groups you create, and payment activity you initiate in-app. Payments are processed by Stripe — SubSplit never stores your card details.
Bank account linking (Plaid)
If you choose to link a bank account for automatic subscription detection, Plaid shares recurring-transaction data with us, and we store the resulting access credentials encrypted at rest. We use this data only to detect and suggest subscriptions for your review — you decide whether to add each suggestion to a group. You can unlink a bank account at any time from the Subscriptions page.
How we use it
To run the core product: calculating splits, sending payment reminders, and showing your group's shared ledger. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Your data, your export
You can export your group's full ledger as a CSV at any time from inside the app, and you can request account deletion — including unlinking any connected bank accounts — by emailing hello@getsubsplit.com.
Third parties
We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Stripe for payment processing, Plaid for bank account linking, and Resend for transactional email. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to SubSplit.
